Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department to ensure that all rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are clean, orderly, and well-maintained. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, conducting inspections, maintaining inventory, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and coordinate activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry staff, and public area cleaners.
Assign daily tasks and inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
Conduct regular room and facility inspections to identify cleanliness and maintenance issues.
Train new housekeeping employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
Monitor cleaning supplies and linen inventory; place orders and restock as necessary.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Handle guest requests, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Assist with staff scheduling and manage time-off requests to maintain adequate coverage.
Report maintenance issues to the appropriate department and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Support team motivation and foster a positive, productive work environment.
Perform housekeeping duties as needed to support the team and maintain guest satisfaction.
Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
Previous housekeeping or hotel operations experience required.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
Hospitality experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and hotel environment
