The Learning Well Coordinator advances a culture of learning by focusing on two core areas: Volunteer Coordination and Business Partner Relationship Building. This role models La Clinica and The Learning Well values in all interactions and ensures consistent, high-quality engagement with volunteers, community partners and team members.

 

Accountabilities Include:

Volunteer Coordination Focus: Recruitment, engagement, tracking, development, and experience


  1. Recruit and onboard volunteers aligned with Learning Well program needs. 
  2. Maintain an active pipeline of prospective volunteers. 
  3. Match volunteers to appropriate workshops, classes, and program roles. 
  4. Schedule volunteers for trainings, orientations, and program support. 
  5. Ensure all volunteers complete required onboarding and training. 
  6. Maintain accurate volunteer records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (hours, roles, training status). 
  7. Track and report volunteer participation metrics (e.g., hours, retention, engagement). 
  8. Establish and document clear expectations with volunteers (agreements, roles, responsibilities). 
  9. Collect and summarize volunteer feedback at regular intervals and provide structured feedback to improve volunteer experience and program effectiveness. 
  10. Ensure all concerns about volunteer safety, risk, and performance are elevated to leadership with appropriate documentation.
  11. Support volunteer growth by connecting them to relevant Learning Well offerings. 
  12. Coordinate and support annual volunteer recognition and appreciation efforts. 


Business Partner Relationship 

Focus: Outreach, coordination, and relationship management


  1. Identify and maintain a list of current and prospective business partners.
  2. Engage directly with internal partners to promote the programs and services of The Learning Well. 
  3. Conduct routine outreach (email/phone) to initiate and sustain partner relationships. 
  4. Maintain up-to-date partner contact and engagement records and track all partner interactions and activities in designated systems. 
  5. Coordinate introductions between business partners and internal team members, including facilitators, when appropriate. 
  6. Support scheduling and logistics for current and prospective partner meetings and engagements. 
  7. Follow up on partnership opportunities to ensure continuity and responsiveness and provide regular updates to Learning Well leadership on partner activity and opportunities. 
  8. Support workshops and groups with participant greeting, registration and management logistics when assigned.


Qualifications:

Must be able to interact with a variety of individuals at various levels under stressful circumstances while exercising sound judgement, tact, and diplomacy; work productively both independently and in a team setting; communicate with clarity, both verbally and in writing to groups and individuals.

Must be able to develop and deliver curriculum and resources that promote growth and development.


Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Skills to intervene and promote reconciliation and positive outcomes in complex or challenging interactions.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of adult education, health promotion, behavioral health, or healthcare administration.
  • Three years of experience in human development, education, coaching or wellness related programs
  • Experience in the development and delivery of curriculum that promotes human growth and development
  • Organizational development background and experience, including budget and project management expertise.
