What you’ll do:
As a Senior Simulation Engineer, you will drive advanced simulation and modeling activities to improve product design, accelerate development timelines, and reduce costs. This role partners closely with cross-functional R&D teams across the APAC electrical sector and collaborates with global design teams. You will bring strong technical expertise to optimize simulation approaches and influence design decisions based on robust physical principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze product designs using simulation tools such as Ansys to identify improvement opportunities
- Develop and execute thermal, impact, and coupled simulations (e.g., CFD thermal, structural, electromagnetic)
- Apply optimization techniques using tools such as ModeFrontier to enhance product performance and efficiency
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to modeling and simulation team members
- Ensure simulation activities are delivered on time and aligned with project timelines and cost targets
- Share technical insights and best practices across internal teams and broader R&D organizations
- Challenge design directions through data-driven analysis and strong engineering fundamentals
- Establish and maintain design guidelines, reporting standards, and simulation documentation processes
Qualifications:
Must Have
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with multiple simulation types using Ansys and optimization tools (e.g., ModeFrontier)
- Strong experience in at least one advanced simulation area (e.g., thermal simulation, impact analysis, or coupled simulations)
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and ability to influence design decisions through simulation insights
- Good command of written and spoken English, with strong analytical thinking and perseverance
Nice to Have
- Programming skills in Python or exposure to machine learning techniques
- Knowledge of electrical products and systems
- Familiarity with product standards such as IEC, GB, CCC, or ANSI
- Experience with DfSS (Design for Six Sigma) methodologies and tools
