What will you do?
- Production engineer is responsible for supervising and improving production at filling plants and at
- subcon factories
- Support cross functions like EHS, CS, engineering, product management, L&D teams,
- Draw up safety protocols, report issues as per organization processes
- Develop strategies to improve efficiency and profit.
- Also responsible for managing on time maintenance of filling plant and equipment.
- Plan, manage and supervise production, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner.
- Liaising with other engineers / worker to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor
- required.
- Diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training.
- Establishing safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account, and that also
- minimize the carbon footprint.
- Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production and sharing knowledge with co-workers.
- Define and regular review of Production and equipment SOP.
- Drawing up production Planning & Production schedules.
- Daily Scheduling meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders.
- Analyzing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement.
- Obtaining any materials and equipment required.
- Design and implement cost-reductive changes
- Maximize productivity of machinery and workers
- Assess and analyze current production methods
- Follow product specifications and quality control measures
- Resource planning based on historical records.
- Increase speed and efficiency of production processes
- Ensure all steps of production run efficiently
- Develop and implement quality control measures
- Educate employees on proper methods to operate machinery
- Diagnose breakdowns and troubleshoot problems
- Supplier coordination for production requirement
- Handling customer and third-party inspections.
- Follow reporting process
- Work with sale and planning team on forecasting and material planning
- Ensures legal compliance as well as other internal controls includes PESO, UL, factory act, Labour
- compliance, MPCB compliance, EHS requirement etc
- Establishes budgets and operating targets.
- Offer on-site technical expertise for risk mitigation
- Monitor & maintain planned KPI’s, training and supervising new employees and track the team performance EHS
- Identifying, documenting, and reporting unsafe practices.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations Maintenance
- Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods · carry out preventive maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
- Diagnose breakdown problems
- fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
- Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components · control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
- Monitor and control maintenance costs
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs
- Improve health and safety policies and procedures · manage annual maintenance contract
What we look for?
- Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical / Chemical / Industrial) or an equivalent combination of education
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience working in Production in manufacturing Plant.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge in ISO standards is must
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with superiors, peers and subordinates in a
- professional manner.
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to seek out improvements using Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Knowledge on latest smart manufacturing technologies
- Strong decision-making ability with a bias for action and reflection on lessons learned.
- Ability to work additional hours and varied working hours to effectively manage people across all shifts.
- Strong cross-functional & cross countries teams collaboration skills and ability to influence others through
- Demonstrated expertise.
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time/workload pressure
- Knowledge on 5S, Kaizen, Poka yoke, 7QC tools, CAPA, FMEA, ERI, IPPM, CoPQ, problem solving tools,
- Productivity, Risk assessment, Production Planning, OEE etc.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing as well as other training in formal prob lem solving and operational analysis.
- Experience with SAP or other MRP systems.
- Experience in Production Planning
- Experience in forecasting and demand planning.
- Open to travel and flexible to work in extended hours / shifts independently
