Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Product Designer (UK) to support the design and development of interactive learning experiences within our DreamBox portfolio. This role contributes to creating visually compelling, engaging, and accessible educational products used by students at scale. You work closely with product managers, engineers, curriculum experts, and researchers to bring ideas to life, test concepts with users, and continuously improve experiences through iteration. This role is highly collaborative and hands-on, with a focus on delivering high-quality craft within defined product areas.
In This Role You Will
Design Execution & Craft
Design interactive learning experiences and game-based features from concept through implementation
Create visually compelling designs, animations, and interaction patterns that bring digital experiences to life
Apply strong visual design craft, attention to detail, and consistency across all deliverables
Balance engaging gameplay with meaningful learning outcomes aligned to product goals
Collaboration & Delivery
Partner closely with engineers to deliver polished, high-quality, production-ready experiences
Collaborate with product managers, curriculum experts, and researchers to align design solutions with user and learning needs
Clearly communicate design decisions and articulate rationale through storytelling and presentations
User-Centered Design & Iteration
Develop prototypes to explore ideas, validate concepts, and accelerate decision-making
Incorporate feedback from students, educators, and stakeholders to refine and improve designs
Apply user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and inclusive design practices across all work
Tools & Innovation
Utilize modern design and prototyping tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to rapidly iterate and improve efficiency
Explore emerging tools and technologies to enhance design quality and creative problem-solving

Credentials and Experience
5+ years in product design, interaction design, or a related discipline supported by a portfolio demonstrating strong visual design craft and attention to detail
A portfolio showcasing visually compelling digital products and interactive experiences delivered from concept through implementation
Demonstrated ability to design experiences that incorporate animation, motion, gameplay, or rich user interaction
Proficiency in creating high-fidelity prototypes, rapidly iterating on designs, and using modern design tools and workflows
Strong capability in applying user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and inclusive design practices
Proven track record of collaborating closely with engineers to deliver polished, production-ready solutions
Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and curiosity for leveraging emerging technologies to enhance workflows
Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to clearly explain design decisions
Demonstrated ability to incorporate user feedback, including playtesting insights, into iterative improvements
Legal right to work in the United Kingdom
This role is hybrid based in Bath, UK. As the office is a listed building, we do not have a lift so please make us aware so we can make necessary accommodations.
The hiring range for this position is between £53,300 - £60,050 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for an Annual Bonus.
