Your Opportunity as the Senior IT Business Analyst, Marketing Operations & Information Services
The role of a Senior Business Analyst on the Marketing Operations & IS team is to actively interface between our marketing business teams (Brand Marketing, Insights, Integrated Consumer Experience, Marketing Finance) and Information Services, translating needs and requirements related to business process and systems from a business perspective into a form that can be understood and acted on by the IS team tasked with building the solution. The Senior BA also supports business customers in their use of marketing technologies and technical solutions. This hands-on position requires strong technical acumen, relationship building, a customer service mindset, excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, critical thinking, and a commitment to quality deliverables.
Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)
Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires
In this role you will:
Cultivate relationships and learn the business:
Build positive, trusting relationships with your business customers and develop a deep understanding of what they need
Foster strong collaborative relationships with IS team members and engage them in helping to solve business problems
Understand the data landscape and systems in your business area, including security and compliance obligations
Facilitate the work:
Consider ways to help the business be more efficient and effective in their work, driving toward understanding of root cause for pain points
Effectively solicit and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders
Define solution options to solve business process or system problems
Help scope and manage execution of small to medium size projects or efforts
Understand and successfully work in both an agile and waterfall project development models
Assist with change management or training deliverables
Facilitate project retrospectives, capture key learnings, and activate future change
Work productively with vendors when appropriate
Support and maintain existing things:
Learn and apply new technology, including low code/no code solutions
Support business customers in their use of marketing systems and technology
Identify and execute ways to reduce complexity, automate, standardize, and reduce technical debt
Understand and guide adherence to Corporate & IS Policies, standards, and controls
Design and execute accurate and complete test cases
Provide rotational 24x7 troubleshooting and resolutions for software issues
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support new or revised business processes
Suggest and implement continuous improvements to reduce ongoing support demand
Support and guide entry level business analysts in this space
What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
3+ years of proven experience demonstrating the following:
You have developed strong team relationships, based on trust and collaboration
You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
You manage and facilitate successful, efficient meetings
You have interacted with 3rd party software vendors
You know and can learn technical systems from a business need standpoint
You have experience as a project participant or leading project management activities with a good understanding of project management methodology
You have created deliverables such as:
Business cases and business requirement documents
Functional Designs
Process Flows
Test Plans & Scripts
Cutover Plans
You are self-directed, proactive, and able to define, prioritize and execute work independently
You are a critical thinker and like to solve problems or make things better
You are curious, creative, willing to learn new things and apply new skills to make things better
You are resilient and able to pivot when things change
You desire to have an inclusive mindset and care about the people you work with
You work to be an effective communicator and collaborator, willing to constructively challenge and actively listen
You have a customer service mindset, but can set boundaries and keep a healthy work/life balance
