Job Description

What will you be doing?

As a Project Buyer, you will play a leading role within projects while also managing your own purchasing categories. Within projects, you are responsible for sourcing project-specific components and maintaining oversight of the order status of all required materials. For your assigned categories, you will develop category plans, negotiate and manage contracts, and ensure that production is optimally supported.

A key part of this role is ensuring delivery reliability, quality, and quantity while achieving the best-balanced solution in terms of scope, quality, and cost.

In addition:

  • You will identify, evaluate, and qualify potential new suppliers within the project structure and subsequently negotiate and establish contracts.

  • You will manage existing supplier relationships by recording, monitoring, and evaluating performance in terms of quality, delivery, and overall service.

  • You will focus on process improvement, proactively and reactively providing recommendations that contribute to the continued professionalization of our procurement department.

What do we offer you?

You will join a dynamic and highly technical project environment where leadership and entrepreneurship are valued, and where there is plenty of opportunity to further develop yourself and your team.

What you can expect from us:

  • A competitive salary between €5000 and €6500 per month (based on full-time employment), depending on your experience and expertise.

  • An informal, down-to-earth working environment with short communication lines and engaged colleagues.

  • An international work environment with opportunities for personal growth and development.

  • 31 vacation days and an attractive pension scheme through PMT.

  • A laptop and mobile phone to support you in performing your role effectively.

And there’s more:
With WeConnect, you stay connected with colleagues. Think: sports activities, a staff association, a company webshop and many other perks.

Who are you?

Your strong communication skills and ability to build connections both internally and externally are essential for success in this position.

In addition, you are persistent, confident, and commercially minded. You enjoy collaborating with suppliers and the wider supply chain, and you are not afraid to take on procurement challenges.

In short, working together toward the best integrated solution in a multidisciplinary environment is what energizes you.

You bring:

  • Extensive experience working in project-based environments.

  • The ability to remain composed and effective under pressure.

  • A Bachelor's degree level of thinking and working (HBO level), preferably in a technical or commercial field, supplemented with NEVI 1 certification.

  • Several years of experience as a Buyer or Category Manager.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and contract management.

  • Technical affinity and interest in engineering or manufacturing environments.
