
Senior Director, Partner Ecosystem Sales, Japan

Come make a difference in a company that is changing the world. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Director for Regional Ecosystem Sales to join us in Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategy, development and execution across multiple routes to market in Japan. You’ll leverage both our Global, APAC and Japan ecosystem strategies as you build plans for deeper engagement with partners in order to grow net new business and develop partner led routes to market. You’ll need to have a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate with our direct sales teams, product teams and route to market leaders. You will need to think strategically and analytically about product, technology, and business challenges with the ability to deliver and carry out joint go-to-market plans that meaningfully accelerate Red Hat's vision and sales pipeline. As a Senior Director, you will lead the Japan Ecosystem teams and be accountable for talent retention, development, and productivity. Successful applicants must reside in Japan.
What you will do:
Lead the Japan Ecosystem strategy across multiple routes to market, driving execution in Japan with alignment between Japan, APAC and Global Stakeholders
Drive end-to-end Japan ecosystem performance by managing both immediate quarterly execution and out-quarter delivery, consistently hitting targets for revenue forecasts, pipeline contribution, and key strategic initiatives.
Lead and manage multiple partner driven business development initiatives that are consistent with the Red Hat's overall strategy
Work closely with Practice Leads and their account client partners; initiate joint account planning and sales implementation with the Red Hat Field Sales team
Develop and carry out specific plans for the Japan regional and industry vertical sales managers and associated industry independent software vendors (ISVs)
Work in collaboration with Red Hat’s Global, APAC and Japan route to market leaders
Manage contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required
What you will bring:
10+ years of experience leading high performing Sales and Channel teams
Strong experience of working in a Matrix Environment
10+ years of relevant sales and business development experience with reseller/distribution, cloud, OEM, System Integrator partners
7+ years of working knowledge and experience with cloud software, GSI, or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) vendors and their business models
Extensive experience developing and managing partnerships for the purpose of market seeding and revenue generation
Experience marketing or selling offerings or services in a rapidly evolving, high-growth environment
Solid people skills with persuasive personal presence and presentation
Proven record of successfully exceeding targets and winning over the competition
Strong desire to succeed
Executive presence and communication skills in both English and Japanese
Willingness to travel up to 50%
