Finance Director Aquaculture (N16)

Position Purpose

The Finance Director Aquaculture (FD Aqua) is the senior Finance leader for the Aquaculture Business Line. The role acts as strategic Finance Business Partner to the COO Aquaculture, ensuring strong financial leadership, performance steering, and value creation across the global Aquaculture organization.

The FD Aqua is responsible for translating Aquaculture strategy into a robust financial agenda, providing forward‑looking insights, driving disciplined capital allocation, and ensuring consistent application of Nutreco’s finance frameworks across Aquaculture BUs and OpCos.

All Business Unit Finance Directors and senior Finance Managers within Aquaculture report into this role. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is a member of the Finance Leadership Team.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Finance Business Partnering

· Act as trusted financial sparring partner to the COO Aquaculture and the Aquaculture Leadership Team on strategy, growth initiatives, portfolio development, and performance improvement.

· Translate Aquaculture strategic priorities into a clear financial agenda, including value creation, margin improvement, and capital discipline.

· Provide forward-looking financial insights to support strategic decision-making, investments, and trade-offs.

Financial Performance & Value Creation

· Own end-to-end financial performance management for the Aquaculture Business Line, including revenue, gross margin, opex, capital efficiency, and cash flow.

· Drive consistent performance steering through KPIs, forecasts, and scenario analysis aligned with Nutreco standards.

· Support the business in moving from historical reporting to proactive, insight-driven financial management.

Capital Allocation & Investment Governance

· Lead capital allocation and investment governance for Aquaculture, ensuring investment decisions align with strategic priorities and value creation targets.

· Review, challenge, and approve major investment proposals in line with delegated authority.

· Ensure strong discipline on post-investment reviews and value realization.

Leadership of Finance within Aquaculture

· Lead, develop, and coach BU Finance Directors and senior Finance Managers across Aquaculture.

· Drive consistent application of finance policies, processes, and ways of working across geographies.

· Strengthen Finance Business Partnering capability, shifting focus from control to strategic insight and influence.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

· Ensure compliance with Nutreco financial policies, internal controls, and external reporting requirements.

· Act as key interface with Corporate Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other Finance CoEs for Aquaculture matters.

· Safeguard financial integrity, transparency, and risk management across the Aquaculture organization.
