What You Will Do
As an Operations Snr Manager for Pick-Up & Delivery (PUD), Sorting, and Ramp operations, you will lead end-to-end logistics execution to ensure seamless movement of shipments from first mile to last mile. You will drive operational excellence, optimize resources, and ensure high service performance while maintaining cost efficiency and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate operations teams across PUD, sorting hubs, and ramp activities to achieve productivity and service excellence
- Oversee daily operations performance, ensuring shipments are picked up, sorted, and dispatched accurately and on time
- Monitor KPIs including service quality, transit time, loss & damage, and cost efficiency; take corrective actions where required
- Drive operational planning including route optimization, sortation efficiency, and ramp handling effectiveness
- Ensure efficient coordination between first mile, hub operations, and air/linehaul connections
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows, reduce operational costs, and enhance service levels
- Manage resource planning (manpower, fleet, equipment) to meet volume demands and operational targets
- Enforce compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards across all processes
- Establish a customer-centric culture focused on delivery reliability and service quality
- Identify training needs, develop team capabilities, and implement workforce development plans
- Produce and analyze daily/weekly/monthly operational reports for performance tracking and strategic decisions
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics/express operations (PUD, hub, or air/ramp handling)
- Strong understanding of transportation, routing, sortation processes, and last-mile delivery
- Proven leadership experience managing large operational teams in a fast-paced environment
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of operational KPIs, cost management, and performance optimization tools
- Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
