What you’ll do
- Manage daily operations of work performed by employees and subcontractors including construction, installation, and maintenance of all project-related underground and/or aerial utility construction projects
- Provide coordination and input as needed with utility companies providing services and infrastructure for the project, including schedule and cost management including City’s permitting and inspection requirements
- Monitor and ensure scheduled performance and quality workmanship
- Attend meetings and training on behalf of the company, documenting and taking applicable action
- Maintain relationships and act as liaison in matters associated with Federal, State, and Municipal requirements
- Conduct site visits to verify compliance with permits and job specifications
- Complete Site Safety reports on in progress job sites for In house crew and subcontractors completing the work
- Participate in daily/weekly calls with operations and customers
- Resolve complaints
- Performs other duties as necessary
What you’ll need
- You are at least 18 years old
- You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
- You have 5+ years of experience within the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance industry
- You have valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
- You have basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner
- You have basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner
- You have the ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities
- You are able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, and strong analytical and problem solving abilities in a changing environment
- You are able to demonstrate strong consultative, organizational, and communication skills necessary for maintaining productive and professional relationships with employees and customers
- You are proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc), Google applications, and/or other construction related software applications
- You are able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
- You are able to work as needed (over-time, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call)
- You are able to maintain a safe work environment
- You are able to work in all weather conditions
