We are seeking a talented individual to join our Total Health Manager team at Mercer. This role will be based in Toronto, CA. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. 

Total Health Management Consultant

  • Develop and support Total Health Management Consultant (THM) business in collaboration with Mercer’s offices,

  • Increase the visibility of organizational health services in Canada,

  • Develop business opportunities and provide project support for the client and consultant,

  • Complete key tasks and work, delegates/collaborates within the THM team as needed

  • Support accountability and fiscal responsibility for revenue/profitability for client accounts and projects

  • Maintaining effective carrier/vendor relationships to serve clients in benefits procurement and administration (eligibility, claims, billing, plan implementation, contracts, plan changes and necessary amendments)

We will count on you to:

  • Ensure project execution and provide subject matter expertise

  • Lead and support client engagements, including ensuring service delivery, audits and process evaluations, program and process design, renewal support, business placement, benchmarking and strategic development

  • Assist in development of sophisticated health, wellbeing, disability and accommodation design and improvement strategies

  • Research, plan, build and deliver client-ready materials, reports, tools and presentations in part or in full, depending on the project assignments

  • Assist in the development and implement tools and solutions to address complex client issues

  • Support projects to assess, improve and enhance employee and organizational health and well-being, attendance support, disability management, accommodation, return to work and related health and organizational impacts. This includes development of disability, and organizational well-being strategies and programs that support corporate objectives

  • Develop and lead project implementation

  • Liaise with third party providers as required

Build and enhance market presence

  • Partner with Health consultants and other lines of business to identify opportunities for existing clients

  • Meet clients to present services and develop proposals to meet their needs

  • Develop client relationships and follow up with clients on a regular basis

Be a member of the THM National Team.

  • Collaborate in the implementation of the plans

  • Develop intellectual capital as needed

  • Help improve processes and procedures

  • Contribute to the creation of new services

What you need to have: 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a field related to disability management, wellbeing, health promotion, human resources

  • Expert level of knowledge across several of disability management, Occupational Health & Safety, wellbeing programs, EFAP, HR programs and policies, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment

  • Ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectives; ability to work independently and on a team

  • Ability to travel occasionally to other offices within Canada

All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $101,000 to $151,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
