Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 4-6 direct reports comprised of indirect sourcing professionals, who develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for business unit or commodity groups
- Set team objectives, performance metrics, and targets for sourcing initiatives (e.g. cost savings, supplier assurance, etc)
- Build and maintain executive-level supplier relationships
- Drive organizational change and process improvements
- Participate in business planning and budget processes
- Ensure compliance with sourcing policies and ethical standards
- Develop talent through coaching, performance management, and succession planning
- Collaborate with other departments on strategic initiatives, such as S&OP, capital planning, and executive reviews
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of progressive global strategic sourcing experience, with manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of people management experience
- Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings/supply assurance initiatives at the portfolio level (multi-category)
- Comfortable serving as the escalation point for complex negotiation and supplier management
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain executive-level supplier relationships
- Proven success setting team objectives, performance metrics, and targets for sourcing initiatives — and holding a team accountable for results
- Demonstrated talent development capabilities, including coaching, performance management, succession planning, and recruiting
- Strong business acumen with experience contributing to business planning and budget processes
- Proven ability to drive organizational change and process improvements at a functional level
- Track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through implementation
- Participated in the establishment of sourcing best practices, tools, and methodologies that scale across a team
- Executive presence and strategic communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and the executive team
- Strong understanding of sourcing policies, ethical standards, and compliance requirements
