Supervisor: School principal and Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction


Minimum Requirements: 
?New York State Elementary Teaching Certification 

?Tenured in elementary education or special education

?Effective or Highly Effective as defined by the District Professional Performance Review

?Demonstrated leadership in school and district improvement initiatives

?Knowledge of and experience in successfully using best practices in student-centered hands-on learning experiences

?Commitment to and belief in high achievement of all learners and commitment to ongoing professional development to meet the needs of all learners

?Strong organizational and collaboration skills focused on student achievement


Position Summary/Responsibilities: 
?Provide instruction experiences for students related to the NY State Computer Science Standards, Mental Health Standards, Health Standards, and other areas as needed during the Wellness and Innovation Special

?Work with building teachers, staff, and community schools to integrate projects with other content areas and school projects

?Work collaboratively with school and district staff to develop and build the content and project based learning units for the Wellness and Innovation Special
