Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, Outside Sales is responsible for leading a team of Commercial Account Managers to drive outside sales and profitability growth through Managed Accounts for a market. They will have direct accountability to manage portfolios of professional customers, build pipelines for targeted customers, and ensure leads are converted to incremental sales. They will coach a sales team utilizing salesforce.com and customer visits to strengthen the sales performance and skillsets of their teams. Additionally, they will drive training of new and existing processes with their team by utilizing partnerships with the multiple business units that impact Pro.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive Sales: Schedule and complete sales calls with portfolio customers to drive sales 20% Execution - Drive compelling Pro performance in terms of growth, profitability and Pro customer satisfaction; Deliver consistent portfolio execution; Identify and implement best practices; Conduct weekly sales updates, monthly and quarterly business reviews
• Leadership - Provide direction and guidance to Outside Sales team on all aspects professional sales; Drive and lead market-based change; Coaching and training of CAMs by making customer visits
• Planning - Understand the market competitive environment and develop strategies to win across all Pro customer segments and all Home Depot departments; Development of operating plan to drive Pro outside sales within respective market to achieve sales targets
• Providing Excellent Customer Service - Build strong relationships and deep understanding of the Pro Customer needs with a focus on fulfilling those needs

Team of Commercial Account Managers report to Senior Manager, Outside Sales
Travel Requirements:
-Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 40% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
-Most all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

-Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of previous leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
• 10 years of minimum sales experience
• 5 years of people leadership
• 5 years of account management experience.
• 4 plus years home improvement or home building industry experience
• Successful professional growth in a high paced retail/commercial/wholesale environment
Minimum Education:
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
