Position Overview
As a Product Manager, you will lead the creation of innovative products that transform the car buying and selling experience. Your work will put Customer needs at the center of every decision, leveraging technology and data to deliver solutions that make their interactions with CarMax seamless and personalized. You’ll collaborate with design and engineering partners to build products that empower our Customers and Associates. This role combines strategic thinking, customer empathy, and technical expertise to drive CarMax’s mission of redefining the automotive industry.

Team Overview
You’ll lead a high-performing product team focused on discovering and delivering solutions that ultimately enhance the customer journey and drive measurable business value. Working cross-functionally, you’ll partner with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to create experiences that scale across digital and in-store channels.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct deep customer research to uncover Customer behaviors, pain points, and opportunities
- Develop and test hypotheses, rapidly iterating on prototypes to validate solutions
- Prioritize product opportunities based on feasibility, impact, and alignment with business goals
- Set clear product vision and goals using data-driven insights and strong business acumen
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation
- Inspire and lead teams to create seamless experiences across online and in-store channels
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- 3+ years of experience in product management or a related field
- Strong understanding of modern technology and experience, partnering with software engineers
