The Airport Director is a senior leader within the OTG management team, responsible for overseeing all OTG operations within their assigned airport terminal. This includes bringing the OTG culture to life across every touchpoint, driving exceptional restaurant and market operations, maintaining high facility standards, ensuring compliance with airport safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements, and leading the hiring, development, and growth of top crewmember talent.
The Airport Director at IAH is accountable for driving business results in support of operational goals, ensuring budgetary goals, initiating and leading operational changes, and assisting Team Leaders/General Managers in implementing changes that bring positive results. The Airport Director is ultimately responsible for ensuring a positive experience for OTG guests and crewmembers
In This Role, You Will:
Set the vision and goals for the terminal, and inspire all crewmembers (salaried and hourly) to be "all-in" in the accomplishment of these goals
Implement strategies that drive budgetary goals, for initiating and leading operational changes, and assist all operations in implementing changes and results
Ensure all crewmembers have the necessary information, tools, and resources to deliver a great guest experience
Serve as a point of contact to the traveling public, resolving issues as needed
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with airport leadership, including the airlines, management, companies, and other governmental or regulatory agencies
Accountable for driving business results in support of operational goals
Responsible for ensuring professional development and performance management of all salaried crewmembers
Provides a workplace free from hazards, following all safety policies set forth by the company, and conforming to any laws and regulations related to the workplace
Continuously improve the crewmember experience using OTG culture and values
Develop oneself to take full responsibility for an airport terminal when training has been completed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in Hospitality, Business, or Culinary Arts
5 to 7 years of Director/Multiunit experience in a high-quality hospitality environment
Demonstrated results in creating a high-performance workplace through cultural leadership that sustains results
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in high-volume multi-unit operations
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in alcoholic beverage service
Proficient knowledge of P&L, budgeting, and forecasting
Knowledge of marketing techniques and their impact on business results
Experience in guest relations, negotiations, and resolving complaints
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to service of guests and all crewmembers
High integrity, work ethic, passion, and commitment to OTG values
Able to train, delegate, coach, and develop managers and crewmembers
Knowledge of or certification in adherence to safety and food sanitation, as well as responsible alcohol service
Able to work flexible hours, days, and shifts including holidays
Able to clear OTG background checks as well as any requirements to obtain airport badges
