Responsibilities: As a QA Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Developing, maintaining, documenting, and executing test plans for the Bitdefender macOS product suite; Performing both manual and automated testing activities for product builds and features; Designing, implementing, maintaining, and running automated test suites, with a strong focus on expanding automation coverage and improving efficiency; Reporting issues through the bug tracking system and clearly communicating test results and status; Conducting root cause analysis and following defects through to resolution; Researching, recommending, and implementing tools and approaches that improve the testing process, product quality, and overall automation level; Using modern AI-based tools to improve testing efficiency, test design, analysis, and automation workflows, while applying sound judgment to validate results; Ensuring that the product meets all target requirements before each release; Requirements: Experience with macOS or Linux; Scripting skills, preferably in Python or Bash; experience in QA automation is a strong plus; Solid QA skills, including troubleshooting, bug isolation and reporting, and a good understanding of testing concepts, methodologies, and processes; Hands-on experience with both manual testing and test automation; Openness to using AI tools in day-to-day work, with a practical mindset and the ability to critically assess the results; 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer is a plus; Strong critical thinking and analytical skills — testing starts with the first requirements and continues throughout development; Very good attention to detail and a meticulous approach to quality; Experience working with test case management tools, bug tracking tools, and Git; Basic to intermediate networking knowledge; A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is a plus; Good written and spoken English skills; A collaborative and enthusiastic team player; A strong willingness to learn and continuously improve; Commitment to the standards of quality and stability that Bitdefender proudly promotes; Ability to work in an Agile Scrum environment, collaborating with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, software developers, UX designers, and fellow QA engineers.
