Portfolio Manager - Owned, DCC Communities, DCC Communities
Job Description
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
The AWS Global Data Center Supply Solutions Team is seeking a highly motivated, solution-oriented Portfolio Manager to join our Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) team in London or Dublin. This is a high-impact role at the heart of AWS's rapidly expanding infrastructure footprint across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. As a Portfolio Manager, you will execute the site acquisition strategy for a portfolio of owned sites — mitigating risks, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion of operational milestones, and serving as the real estate decision-maker once infrastructure is delivered. You will partner directly with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless pre- and post-acquisition support aligned with broader business objectives.
Key job responsibilities
- Pre-Acquisition Support: Analyze title reports, due diligence findings, and site documentation to define the acquisition strategy and budgetary requirements for leadership deal approval.
- Acquisition Lifecycle Management: Drive pre- and post-acquisition activities including securing critical site services, scheduling operational activities, overseeing property tax obligations, and fulfilling liability requirements.
- Financial Management: Provide owned-site inputs for OP planning. Track actuals against contractual agreements and approved budgets to ensure fiscal accountability.
- Strategic Real Estate Decision-Making: Drive alignment on strategic decisions for operational data center sites — negotiating easements, right-of-use agreements, and other land agreements raised by external stakeholders that impact site operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong cross-functional relationships, driving alignment and delivering results through effective coordination and communication with internal teams and external partners.
- Portfolio Reporting & Insights: Maintain portfolio-level visibility through tracking tools and dashboards, surfacing risks and opportunities to leadership on a regular cadence.
