What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Consumer & E‑commerce Lead for Japan, you will own the leadership, integration, and execution of the Japan consumer and e‑commerce agenda across the full 360° marketing flywheel. You will work with regional and global teams to drive disciplined in‑quarter performance, while shaping future‑focused strategies that reflect local market nuance, partner ecosystems, and customer expectations in Japan.
You will:
- Lead and guide the Japan regional work pod, providing clear direction, prioritization, and decision‑making across consumer, e‑commerce, and partner functions
- Drive consumer marketing strategy execution across the E2E 360° flywheel, ensuring alignment from planning through activation, optimization, and measurement
- Own in‑quarter investment strategy and execution, partnering closely with the VF team to build bottom‑up plans and reallocate spend to maximize impact
- Develop and scale new approaches that win consumer interest, engagement, and revenue, translating deep local insights into differentiated, Japan‑relevant solutions
- Act as the senior point of escalation for Japan consumer and e‑commerce delivery, balancing speed, risk, and stakeholder alignment across in‑quarter and next‑quarter timelines

Essential Requirements
- Extensive experience leading consumer marketing and e‑commerce strategy in Japan, with a strong understanding of local buyer behavior, media dynamics, and cultural nuance
- Proven success operating at a senior leadership level in a matrixed, global organization, influencing without authority and aligning multiple stakeholders
- Strong track record of in‑quarter execution management, including investment decisions, trade‑offs, and performance‑driven optimization
- Experience delivering E2E integrated programs, including partnerships, sponsorships, and experiential activations, with disciplined governance
- Ability to act as a trusted market advocate and escalation point, representing Japan needs clearly and constructively at regional and global forums
Desirable Requirements
- Background in technology, consumer electronics, or digitally led consumer brands within the Japan market
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred
- 18+ years of Experience
- Business level of Japanese and English speaking
