As a YMCA Sports Coach Volunteer, you’ll do more than teach the rules—you’ll help young athletes build confidence, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits.
Whether it’s basketball, soccer, T-ball, or baseball, or other sports, our coaches create a fun, supportive environment where every child can grow, learn, and belong.
What You’ll Do

Lead practices and games with enthusiasm and positivity

Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development

Be a mentor and role model for youth participants

Communicate with families and Y staff to ensure a great experience for all
