Hygiene Coordinator - Playfair Dental Centre

The team at Playfair Dental Centre located in Orangeville, ON are looking for a passionate, hard-working Hygiene Coordinator on a full-time basis. 

The ideal Hygiene Coordinator for our team will be highly motivated to coordinate and manage the hygiene schedule. The ideal Candidate will serve as a vital link between patients and Clinical staff, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk  and supporting the hygiene department. The role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental software and a strong understanding of dental terminology. The dental hygiene coordinator will manage patient scheduling, maintaining electronic medical records, handle patient inquires, assist with verifying insurance, processing patients and managing appointment reminders as well as post visit instructions.

SCHEDULE:

• 40 hrs
• Monday 9:00am- 5:00pm, Tuesday 8:00am-5:00pm, Wednesday 12:00pm-8:00pm, Thursday 8:00pm-5:00pm, Friday 8:00pm-3:00pm
• 1 Saturday per Month (get a day off during the week)
• No Saturdays in July and August.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Experience as a Hygiene Coordinator is required
• Experience with dental practice management software such as Abeldent/Tracker is considered an asset
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
• Customer service mindset
