Job Title: Sous Chef

Salary Exempt | Full-Time | $70,304K-75K

We’re seeking a driven, hands-on Sous Chef to support daily culinary operations in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. This role is ideal for a strong kitchen leader who thrives on execution, team development, cost control, and delivering consistently high-quality dishes. Working closely with the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef plays a key role in both operational performance and team leadership.

What It Takes to Succeed

  • Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and speed of service
  • Oversee food preparation, freshness, pars, plating standards, and health compliance
  • Support menu execution and collaborate with leadership on product specifications
  • Maintain food cost controls, minimize waste, and support budget goals
  • Monitor inventory, prep systems, order guides, and kitchen organization
  • Train, mentor, and supervise BOH team members through ongoing development and coaching
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and maintain clear communication with culinary and management teams
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to all company policies and procedures
  • Assist with scheduling, labor management, and payroll accuracy
  • Support banquet and event execution as needed

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of kitchen leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of food quality, cost control, and kitchen systems
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
