Job Description
SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
Provides routine drafting support, prepares various drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints and sketches. Utilizes established techniques, standards and tools like computer aided drafting software to prepare technical drawings. Coordinates and consults with engineers, project leads, sales, or designers to complete projects.

Create standardized products drawings for existing product lines of precast concrete products.
Assist as needed to work with drafting and engineering team on projects
Communicate with sales staff and management to complete projects based on deadlines
Work with the production team to create accurate drawings and details
Use computer assisted drafting software like AutoCad and SolidWorks
Measure forms and products in the production manufacturing areas and take those measurements to create accurate drawings
Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
There are no supervisory responsibilities in this position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written, and have basic communication skills; interpersonal, written, and verbal, for dealing with all levels and associates, and reading instruction and parts manuals.
Experience using Solid Works 3D is highly regarded
Skilled in use of Auto CAD is highly regarded
Must be able to read blue prints
Working knowledge of ASMe, ASTM and AWS specs
Familiar with coatings/paints
Must be able to read a tape measure with extreme accuracy
Must have above average computer skills
Need to be able to work on several projects and keep work organized
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required, additional technical education and/or training is preferred.
College drafting courses would be preferred.

Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or move objects from position to position.
Physical Requirements
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Visual Acuity
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Vision Requirements:
Over 2/3 of the time the worker is required to have:
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
Up to 2/3 of time the worker is required to have:
Distance vision (clear feet at 20 feet or more)
Ability to adjust visual focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
Weather Conditions
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions throughout their day: activities occur inside the office environment and outside in production or the yards.
Noise Levels

Moderate noise to loud noise when in production
Quiet conditions when working in the office
