Excel Expert — IT Manager

Overview Join a leading AI lab's cutting-edge GenAI team and help build foundational AI models from the ground up. We're seeking experienced **IT managers and IT leaders who use Excel as a daily driver** to bring real-world spreadsheet and analytical expertise that elevates the quality of our AI training data. This role is for in-house **IT management** professionals — IT Managers, IT Directors, IT Operations and Systems Managers, IT Infrastructure Managers, and IT Program/PMO Managers — who run IT teams, budgets, vendors, and software assets and licenses, and who rely on Excel daily for IT budgeting, license and cost reconciliation, capacity planning, vendor management, and operational reporting and dashboards. This is a W-2 employment position with Cincinnatus LLC, with the opportunity to be placed at a leading AI Lab as part of their extended workforce. # 2\. Key Responsibilities - Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance on Excel-based tasks within the IT management domain. - Design realistic, domain-relevant Excel tasks drawn from your professional experience, and write accurate, well-structured solutions. - Evaluate Excel tasks and solutions and provide clear, written feedback. - Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data. # 3\. Core Qualifications - Strong, hands-on Excel proficiency for real analytical work — comfortable with nested formulas and lookups (e.g., XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, dynamic arrays), PivotTables, dashboards, and Excel's built-in analytical tools. Experience with Power Query, Power Pivot, or macros/VBA is a plus. - 5+ years in an in-house **IT management or leadership role** where Excel is part of your day-to-day — for example, IT Manager, IT Director, IT Operations/Systems Manager, IT Infrastructure Manager, or IT Program/PMO Manager. - Demonstrable career progression into senior IT management. - Ability to engage reliably for **at least 20 hours/week during weekdays**. - Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills. - **United States–based only.** **About Cincinnatus LLC:** Cincinnatus LLC is an enterprise staffing company that partners with leading technology companies to source and employ highly skilled professionals for contingent and contract-based opportunities.
