How you’ll make an impact in this role
Lead with a "quality-first" mindset, identifying instruments in need of repair or replacement before they ever reach the sterile field.
Create organized and complete surgical sets by following precise tracking systems and count sheets to eliminate errors in the OR.
Support your colleagues by sharing expertise during quality assurance checks, helping the entire department meet and exceed safety protocols.
Ensure a seamless workflow by adhering strictly to manufacturer instructions and hospital guidelines, treating every instrument as if it were being used on a loved one.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Preferred.
- Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
What additional preferences we're seeking
CRCST or Sterile Processing/Healthcare Experience.
Must obtain CRCST certification within one year of hire date.
