As part of this integrated system, we offer our patients the benefits of local care backed by the resources and innovation of a leading academic health network.We are seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic and expanding Cardiology team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a comprehensive and patient-centered cardiovascular program that continues to grow in both size and scope.
This hire will be utilized for as-needed, day-shift coverage on the inpatient team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. The primary need for coverage is on Saturdays; however, this hire will also be able to fill in open 8-hour shifts during the week.

Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions, as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.

Essential Functions
-Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
-Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
-Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
-Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
-Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
-Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
-Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
