Operations Permit Agent
POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Permit Agent is responsible for applying for permits, scheduling permit inspection appointments and providing support to the Permits and Public Access Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide service to customers, route calls and questions accordingly.
- Assist with necessary research, preparation, submittal and maintenance of all applicable permit orders: applications, inspections, and payments of permitting fees.
- Assist with maintaining, tracking, routing and scheduling of permit applications and permit orders.
- Assist with the management, compliance and scheduling of all required permit inspections with appropriate governing jurisdictions having authority.
- Assist in the management of initial compliance requirements of all orders to ensure all applicable permits/licensing is applied and forwarded to the appropriate governing jurisdictions having authority.
- Contacts customers to confirm scheduled permit inspections by performing within Acorn policy, procedure and customer service guidelines. Liaisons directly with the Permit and Public Access Manager.
- Updates notes for permit orders in the client database and/or job(s) to ensure that they have the required information for the permit and permit inspections; permit number, Inspector, Inspector’s phone number, date of appointment and time of appointment, as well as any other information needed, as required.
- Assist with the management all documents and/or documentation of all permits, inspections and usage turned over, with the associated governing jurisdictions having authority, and within the customer account, system job, system files (electronic and/or physical).
- Liaise with the Acorn scheduling department.
- Complies with all directions and instruction from Acorn regarding health and safety.
- Carries out other tasks as requested by management of which employee is capable of performing.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to sit, speak, and listen; occasionally required to sit, talk or listen. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
