Job Description
- Develop complete understanding of client Installation standards, installation plans and specifications. Lay-out, install and/or repair all types of piping systems in accordance with those plans and specifications.
- Follow established job-site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to, and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
- Inspect work for compliance with the client standards, plans and specifications, point out and explain deficiencies, take any corrective action needed.
- Use appropriate hand and power tools to fit and install all types of pipe, select specified type and size of pipe; mount pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceilings to hold pipe; install valves, couplings and other fittings necessary to complete scope of work.
- Utilize all pipe fitting techniques and methods for different types of piping systems and pipe couplings including butt fusion, socket fusion, and electrofusion.
- Understand and execute hot taps and stops.
- Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to work overhead.
- Ability to use hands to grasp.
- Ability to reach with arms.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
- Ability to sit, climb and balance.
- Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in all weather and temperature extremes.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Pay Range: $26 - $30 per hour
