The Computer Vision Engineer designs, develops and implements artificial vision systems to be integrated into the machines and systems developed by the BLM Group. Responsibilities Industrial Vision Development and Innovation: collaborating in the innovation of vision systems, from design, modelling and process specification definition to performance analysis and validation testing; Research Coordination: Manage research and development projects, both internally and in collaboration with external partners, focusing on the continuous improvement of vision tools, methodologies and algorithms; Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with different departments to provide custom solutions to support sales and ensure qualified technical advice for the resolution of complex after-sales issues. Activities Partnership Management: Coordinate and supervise projects commissioned to universities, research centres or external consultants, ensuring alignment with company timelines and objectives; Technology Scouting: Monitor scientific publications and market developments to promptly integrate cutting-edge vision tools, methodologies and algorithms; Proof of Concept (PoC) Development: Rapid creation of software/hardware prototypes to demonstrate the feasibility of new methodologies prior to industrialisation. - Optical Setup Design: Definition of the best combination of cameras, optics and illuminators; Technological Benchmarking: Testing and comparing new technologies to assess their applicability to the various stages of the processes involved in our machine tools; Performance Analysis (KPI) and Validation: Defining objective metrics to measure the accuracy, repeatability and robustness of solutions, validating their operation directly ‘in the field’ on machine tools. Note: In relation to the above, it is important to emphasise that in every job description the information provided is necessarily concise, focusing on the main objectives entrusted to the position; in the normal course of work, it is necessary to provide for integration with tasks, activities and responsibilities that have logical relevance and correlation with the description and information expressed.
