Richelieu Foods, Inc. is a leading national private label and contract packing food manufacturer focused on frozen pizza. We have two manufacturing facilities located in IL and WI. We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers. 

 

Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst (Manufacturing) is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting manufacturing costs and variances across two production facilities in Wheeling, IL and Beaver Dam, WI. This role ensures accurate and timely financial data for production orders, inventory, standard costs, and indirect spending. The analyst is accountable for managing indirect spend operations, ensuring effective systems maintenance, supplier agreement governance, and continuous improvement of supporting processes. The position works closely with Plant Controllers, Production, and Supply Chain teams to support daily operations, month-end close activities, and annual processes.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Manufacturing Finance & Cost Management

  • Analyze and report manufacturing costs, variances, and performance metrics across two production facilities.
  • Own standard cost integrity within the ERP, including setup, validation, and ongoing governance.
  • Partner with Plant Controllers, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure accurate production execution, labor capture, material usage, and inventory valuation.
  • Deliver concise monthly variance analyses with clear drivers, implications, and recommended actions.

ERP, Reporting & Data Architecture

  • Serve as a primary ERP and reporting expert within Manufacturing Finance.
  • Build and maintain advanced Excel‑based models and reporting tools supporting cost management, plant performance, and inventory analysis.
  • Continuously improve reporting through automation, standardized data flows, and enhanced usability for operations and finance.

Indirect Spend & Controls

  • Own indirect spend operations and associated financial controls, including marketplace systems and supplier governance.
  • Analyze spend trends, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and partner with Procurement and Operations to drive results.

Plant & Operational Partnership

  • Support weekly plant performance reporting and validation of production, costing, and purchasing activity.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner on the plant floor, balancing financial rigor with operational practicality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost transparency and decision support.

 

Essential Skills & Abilities

  • Expert‑level Excel skills, including complex models, dashboards, Power Query, pivot tables, and advanced lookups.
  • Strong ERP proficiency, including data extraction, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to design scalable, multi‑plant reporting solutions for manufacturing cost and performance management.
  • Strong foundation in standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost flows.
  • Ability to analyze complex operational data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to communicate effectively at a senior level.

 

Working Conditions 

  • Adaptable and flexible, capable of shifting focus quickly based on operational needs.
  • Willingness to travel to the Beaver Dam, WI facility at least once per month.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis and reporting

 

Pay and Benefits 

The following information is provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Compensation is based on experience, geographic locations, and other legally permitted factors. The expected compensation range for this role is $80,000 and $100,000. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.
