Account Manager – New York City

About the Role
The Account Manager is responsible for developing new business and expanding existing relationships across New York City and the surrounding boroughs. This role supports a wide range of customers, including:
Restaurants and hospitality groups
Hotels and boutique lodging
Caterers and event venues
Corporate dining and office food programs
Commissary kitchens and ghost kitchens
Institutional and specialty foodservice operators
This is a field-based, consultative sales role ideal for someone with prior sales or foodservice industry experience who is ready to own a territory and grow a book of business.
What You’ll Do
Build and grow a NYC sales territory by prospecting new accounts and deepening existing relationships
Sell a broad portfolio of equipment, tabletop, smallwares, paper products, and janitorial solutions
Partner with chefs, operators, purchasing managers, and business owners to understand operational needs
Demonstrate consultative selling by recommending solutions tailored to each customer’s business
Manage the full sales cycle: outreach, quoting, closing, and ongoing account support
Collaborate with internal teams (sales support, operations, AR) to ensure seamless service
Attend industry events, vendor fairs, trainings, and customer meetings
Consistently meet or exceed sales and margin goals
Maintain accurate records, reporting, and CRM activity
Who You Are
2–5+ years of B2B sales or relevant industry experience preferred
Background in foodservice distribution, hospitality operations, equipment/supplies sales, or related fields strongly valued
Comfortable selling to a variety of business types — not just restaurants
Relationship-builder with strong communication and follow-through
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing a dynamic NYC territory
Professional presence with strong business ethics and integrity
Able to work independently while collaborating with a broader sales and support teams
Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn company systems and technology
Ability to travel locally throughout NYC
