What You’ll Do
As a Fire Protection Sales/Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, servicing, installing, and selling fire protection systems and related safety equipment throughout the Mid-South. This includes fire extinguishers, suppression systems, and emergency lighting. You’ll ensure that each system you service meets the highest standards of safety, functionality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Sell and service fire protection products and maintenance agreements within your assigned territory.
Inspect, install, and repair fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and emergency/exit lighting.
Identify new prospects and generate leads through professional communication and service visits.
Present proposals to potential customers, highlighting the value and advantages of our services.
Follow up with prospects and maintain relationships with existing customers.
Complete work orders and documentation accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
Provide superior customer service while representing State Systems in a professional manner.
What We’re Looking For
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage a full work schedule.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office.
Customer-focused, results-driven, and action-oriented mindset.
- Must be in good physical condition with no limitations.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
- Must be able to carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be able to push greater than 100 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to safely climb a ladder and reach a height of at least 12 ft.
This position may require the handling of chemicals that may be skin and/or respiratory irritants. Person may also be exposed to ventilation areas which may have respiratory irritant. Must not be skin and respiratory sensitive to these materials and environments. MSDS are available.
Compensation & Benefits
We value hard work and reward performance. First-year earnings typically range from $45,000–$60,000, with top performers earning more based on commission and bonus opportunities.
