This role sits at the heart of large-scale internet traffic engineering, where you will design and operate high-performance proxy infrastructure that powers secure, reliable, and scalable data flow across enterprise systems. You will work deeply at the HTTP and network protocol layers, building systems that handle complex traffic routing, TLS termination, and advanced request/response transformations. The position requires strong expertise in backend systems engineering, with a focus on building production-grade proxy services in Go and extending functionality through Lua scripting. You will own critical components of traffic handling, including forward and reverse proxy pipelines, API gateway behaviors, and protocol translation layers. The environment is highly technical and performance-driven, requiring precision in handling edge cases across modern web protocols like HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, and HTTP/3. You will collaborate with senior engineers to ensure observability, reliability, and security across all traffic flows.
