UCB is an international biopharmaceutical company primarily engaged in the research, development, and commercialization of pharmaceutical and biotechnological products. It specializes in researching therapeutic solutions for patients suffering from severe diseases, treated by specialists, particularly in the fields of the central nervous system (including epilepsy) and inflammation (including allergies).

Your role
You will contribute to identifying, testing, and implementing innovative digital solutions to improve ways of working, with a strong focus on manufacturing and supply chain activities to ensure the availability of medicines for patients.
Working closely with both business and IT teams, you will help translate operational needs into concrete, high-value use cases that can be tested, validated, and scaled. This role is part of a broader digital transformation effort aiming to improve operational performance. The focus rests on better visibility on operations, more efficient and reliable processes, faster, data-driven decision-making and adoption of impactful digital solutions.
What you will do
In this role, you will be involved in projets end‑to‑end, from idea exploration to the implementation of solutions. You will:
- Understand operational challenges and define relevant digital use cases
- Explore and assess solutions using technologies such as advanced analytics, generative AI and digital twins
- Contribute actively to feasibility studies and innovation initiatives
During experimentation phases, you will stay hands-on by working on analyses, prototypes or dashboards, while gathering user feedback to refine solutions. As projects mature, you will progressively move toward a more structured Business Analyst role, supporting:
- Requirement definition and documentation
- Alignment between business and technical stakeholders
- Preparation for scaling and industrialization of selected solutions
Your profile:
- Master’s degree in engineering, AI, data science, computer science, information systems, analytics, or a related field
- Fluent in English (required); French is a plus
- Good understanding of data, advanced analytics, and innovative digital technologies
- Strong interest in artificial intelligence (including generative AI), as well as modeling and digital twins
- Ability to structure business problems, analyze user needs, and propose pragmatic solutions
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional, international, and evolving environment
- Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, analytical rigor, and strong communication skills
Please note that this program is in partnership with Business France, and we follow the prerequisites required by Business France to carry out a VIE assignment. The main participation prerequisites are as follows:
- Be between 18 and 28 years old;
- Hold the nationality of a member country of the European Economic Area;
- Have not worked or lived in the country where the mission will take place;
- Be available to dedicate yourself to the mission full-time;
- If you have French nationality or dual nationality, be in compliance with the national service obligations of France (Numéro Identifiant Défense);
- Have a clean criminal record.
