Location: New Victoria Hospital, Kingston upon Thames, KT2 7EG
Permanent
37.5hrs (Monday – Friday Shifts) - Will be required to do at least one late shift per week which is typically between 11:30am-8:00pm or 12:00pm-8:00pm

How you’ll help us make health happen
As a Physiotherapist, you'll work across both MSK Outpatients and Orthopaedic Inpatients, providing expert assessment, treatment, advice, and rehabilitation to a diverse patient group. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in helping patients improve their mobility, manage pain, and achieve the best possible outcomes following injury, illness, or surgery.
Key responsibilities
Deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and advice for both outpatient and inpatient populations.
Manage orthopaedic patients pre and post operatively, ensuring safe and effective recovery plans are implemented.
Develop individualised treatment programmes and monitor patient progress against agreed goals.
Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing teams, allied health professionals, and other key stakeholders to provide excellent patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and regulatory standards.
Support service development through audit, research, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice.
Contribute to the education and development of colleagues, students, and other healthcare professionals.
Assist with the day-to-day organisation of the service, ensuring high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
Participate in weekend, evening, and out-of-hours cover as required.
Occasional requirement to support late orthopaedic surgery cover. Training will be provided.
What we’re looking for
Diploma or BSc Degree in Physiotherapy.
HCPC and CSP registration.
Minimum three years' post-graduate physiotherapy experience.
Significant musculoskeletal physiotherapy experience.
Experience in orthopaedics, general surgery, and respiratory care.
Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement principles.
Strong organisational, prioritisation, and IT skills.
Flexible, professional, and committed to continuous professional development.
Post-graduate training, audit involvement, and experience treating acute respiratory patients would be advantageous.
