Maintenance Technician

We recently re-established ourselves as an independent company and looking for entrepreneurial minded candidates to help our company grow.   Position Summary   We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician, who would be responsible for general building maintenance, cleaning, safety, operating and maintaining the Chemical Room. Additionally, preforming equipment repair and plant maintenance functions.   Position Responsibilities:   Operates the Chemical Room including managing chemical cleaning requirements for raw components and finished feedthroughs.  Maintains compliance with OSHA, HAZMAT, Environmental and other Safety requirements for chemical handling. Performs chemical alteration of material: pre and post etching of glass. Preforms glass lot evaluations to determine pre-etch preparations requirements. Maintains equipment and building including preventative maintenance. Specifies and orders maintenance equipment and supplies.  Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors. Recommends equipment capital improvement projects and cost reductions. May be called upon to make job estimates, material lists. Performs general tasks on the maintenance of plant or office buildings. Preforms, daily, weekly cleaning schedule. Mowing, weed whacking, leaf blowing, general outside clean up. Must be capable of working off ladders, this includes being able to carry and set up 20ft extension ladder. Performs other miscellaneous duties and special projects that may be assigned. Position Requirements:   High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or equivalent position. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Basic electrical, carpentry, and plumbing skills. Basic machine repair skills. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Basic computer skills, math skills; written/oral communication skills; hand tools use; power tools, analytical skills. EQUIPMENT USED: Hand tool, power tools, lawn mower, leaf blower DEXTERITY REQUIREMENTS: Hand/eye coordination; handling (holding, grasping); wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation). LIFTING REQUIREMENTS:  Routine weight lifted < 1 pound. Heaviest weight lifted is 75 pounds. CARRYING REQUIREMENTS: Average weight carried < 1 pound. Heaviest weight carried is < 50 pounds.
