What You'll Do:

Pelican is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead multiple manufacturing departments within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards.
As a key operations leader, you'll develop teams, improve processes, optimize resources, and partner cross-functionally to deliver operational excellence and support business growth.
Lead multiple production departments to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved
Develop and execute production strategies that align with business objectives and operational priorities
Drive daily manufacturing performance by managing schedules, capacity, labor, and resources
Establish operational metrics and utilize data to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall performance
Manage budgets, labor utilization, and manufacturing costs to achieve financial objectives
Partner with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to support production goals and customer commitments
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction
Promote SQDC principles and utilize data-driven decision-making to improve operational performance
Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and team members to build organizational capability and strengthen leadership
Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, cGMP, ISO, QMS, and company standards
Ensure inventory accuracy and support physical inventory and material control processes within production operations
Drive accountability, engagement, and operational excellence throughout the organization
Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management with a manufacturing company and fast-paced environment.
Strong people skills as a team leader, coach, and a team player.
Solid communication skills in listening, clear concise speaking, and sharing company vision and direction resulting in increased employee engagement
Ability to quickly learn technology and improve use of technology to improve productivity and quality.
Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and leadership.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Working knowledge of ISO guidelines.
Understanding and implementation of 6S and Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma manufacturing techniques.
Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely, creative manner. Knowledge of problem-solving tools like for example 5 whys, Fishbone, DMACI, PDCA, CAPA, Pareto charts, A3.
Basic knowledge of OSHA and other EH&S related standards.
