Present food and beverage items with attention to detail and visual appeal, using garnishes and plating techniques that enhance the customer experience. Ensure all food and supplies meet quality, freshness, and safety standards by monitoring temperatures, storage, and presentation, and taking corrective action when needed. Verify every detail of catered orders—including condiments, linens, utensils, and labels—before delivery, and conduct regular inspections to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. Build positive relationships with clients by guiding them through menu planning and event service details to ensure a personalized and seamless experience. Create engaging retail promotions and special events that drive revenue growth, while ensuring timely and accurate billing and payment collection. Other duties as assigned
Venue Preparation: Setting up and arranging tables, chairs, linens, and décor according to event specifications and floor plans, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in place prior to event start.
Event Execution: Maintaining the event environment, responding to client needs, ensuring cleanliness, and proactively replenishing supplies to keep the venue orderly.
Post-Event Duties: Breaking down event setups efficiently, clearing items, properly storing furniture, and maintaining banquet equipment and storage areas.
Collaboration: Working closely with event coordinators, catering teams, and other staff to ensure setups meet client expectations and support overall guest satisfaction.
• Must be team and service oriented; display a supportive, professional and positive attitude towards a diverse group of customers. [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English and understand food service terms. [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. [Required]
• Supervision and production experience. [Preferred]
• Bilingual. [Preferred]
Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
• N/A
Work Experience:
• 2+ catering experience or equivalent [Required]
• 2+ experience in banquet/front of house, sales and\or catering [Preferred]
Additional Information:
•Food Safety Handler Certificate preferred or as required by state
• Food Safety Manager Certificate preferred or as required by state
Licenses and Certifications:
• Food Handler Certificate (FHC) [Preferred]
• Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) [Preferred]
