Job Summary

The Nurse Manager – OR / Endoscopy is responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating the daily operations and staffing of nursing and support staff within the surgical and endoscopy setting to ensure high-quality patient care. This role may also provide direct patient care as needed and plays a key leadership role in fostering a positive and safe care environment.


 

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct, plan, and coordinate unit operations to support high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement staffing plans to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Lead staff onboarding, training, and ongoing education initiatives
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to nursing staff
  • Promote a positive, safe, and collaborative environment for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Coordinate activities with other hospital departments to support unit operations

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • 2–3 years of nursing experience

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • 1–2 years of nursing leadership experience
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to clinical excellence and quality patient care
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
  • Knowledge of age-specific patient care needs
