This position serves as the senior individual contributor within the training team, providing classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training while also leading and supporting training strategy execution. Works closely with operational leadership and the Training Supervisor to ensure effective delivery of training programs that support employee development, customer requirements, and FAA compliance.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   Provides classroom and/or hands-on instruction to Mechanics and other technical personnel to meet ATS, FAA, and customer training requirements. Serves as a lead technical resource for trainers and trainees, providing guidance on instructional methods, technical content, and trainee development plans. Coordinates day-to-day training activities and scheduling with the Supervisor, Training, and other training leadership to ensure adequate support for operational and customer requirements. Represents the training department in meetings with operational leadership, customers, and auditors as delegated. Develops, updates, and delivers technical training courses including aircraft systems, customer requirements, regulatory topics, and specialty technical programs. Partners with operational leadership to identify upcoming training needs and implement solutions. Provides regular coaching, mentoring, and feedback to Apprentice Technicians and Mechanics in career progression pathways. Supports onboarding and development of trainers by mentoring less experienced instructors and promoting consistent instructional standards. Utilizes the learning management system to monitor course progression, completion, qualifications, and training records. Supports training audits, process reviews, and compliance activities to ensure approved procedures are followed.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of four (4) years of experience in commercial aviation maintenance, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two (2) years of instructor experience in a commercial aircraft maintenance, Part 145, or Part 147 environment preferred. Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring, coordinating, or leading training initiatives preferred. Repairman, Airframe, and/or Powerplant certificate preferred.   PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up.  The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.   Compensation The base pay range for this position is $74,000-$111,000 annually/DOE, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge.
