Job Description
As an Opto/Mechanical Technician at MKS, you will be responsible for the advanced assembly of optical systems
- Audit 1-2 work order kits from warehouse to confirm pieces and part numbers
- Prepare subassembly components
- Follow written procedures or drawings
- Assemble and debug systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components
- Test each level of assembly (4-5 processes) at the system level using laboratory instruments
- Alignment, optimization, stability, transmission, etc.
- Package the final assembly daily (if assembly is completed)
- Cross training is required (trainee and/or trainer)
- 0-2 years of related experience for Level 1
- 2-3 years of related experience for Level 2
- The ability to work in a clean room environment
- Experience entering data numbers into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets templates
- The ability to speak, read, and write in English
