Position Summary
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing high‑quality job plans, maintaining a healthy and well-defined work backlog, and ensuring all maintenance work is properly scoped and prepared before execution. The role supports plant supervisors and technicians by providing accurate, complete, and efficient plans that improve wrench time, safety, and asset reliability.

Position Responsibilities
Work Identification & Backlog Management
- Review, clarify, and prioritize incoming work requests.
- Ensure each work order contains clear scope, priority, and risk.
- Maintain an organized, risk-based backlog aligned with site reliability and operational needs.
Job Planning
- Develop detailed job plans including work steps, estimated labor hours, tools, materials, permits, isolation/LOTO requirements, and quality checks.
- Conduct field walkdowns to verify scope, access, and hazards.
- Update job plans after execution to capture improvements and lessons learned.
- Ensure all planning details are accurately documented in Fiix CMMS or similar systems.
Materials & Services Coordination
- Identify required materials, parts, consumables, and special tools.
- Coordinate with storeroom personnel for availability and staging.
- Prepare kits or staging instructions for efficient job execution.
Work Readiness Support
- Ensure permits, drawings, and procedures are available before job start.
- Coordinate with operations on isolation/LOTO.
- Support maintenance supervisors during pre‑job reviews
CMMS Data Quality & Documentation
- Maintain accurate data in the CMMS, including job plans, work history, and failure codes.
- Review completed work orders for accuracy.
Safety & Compliance
- Embed safety considerations into all job plans.
- Ensure regulatory and critical preventive tasks are properly planned.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 3–7 years in maintenance/operations planning & scheduling at power plants or industrial sites; turnaround planning a plus.
- Systems: Proficiency with Fiix CMMS or similar platforms; ability to adapt if systems change.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
Working Conditions:
- Primarily on site; time may be split between locations during outages.
- Includes office planning work and field walkdowns.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk the plant, climb stairs/ladders, and navigate industrial environments.
- Occasional lifting of 25–35 lbs.
