Salary Range: $26.90 - $32.81 per/Hour
Shift Type: Full-Time
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Assistant Superintendent - Administrative Services
EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
- To effectively assist the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services by providing secretarial services in a confidential matter.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Knowledge of basic computer and keyboarding skills
EXPERIENCE:
- Prior secretarial experience at a school or administrative level
- Basic knowledge of school district operations
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Office Manager � Order supplies for the department and oversee equipment management
- Greet visitors, school administrators, and staff
- Help lead and guide office staff in the Administrative Services Suite
- Answer telephones, take messages, route calls to appropriate personnel, and respond to inquiries while using professional discretion regarding confidential matters
- Demonstrate effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Enter data in Skyward, Eduphoria, Munis, Google applications, etc.
- Issue requisition, supply, and purchase orders
- Work well with others, exhibit exceptional diplomacy, and maintain confidentiality
- Support the needs of the Administrative Services Division including Student Services, Health Services, Counseling Services, At-Risk, Transportation, Data Management, Special Education, and Safety and Security
- Manage the schedule of appointments for the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services and assist in maintaining the division calendar
- Maintain a filing system for reports, correspondence, and the MISD Policy Manual
- Assist in student enrollment, student transfers, and pre-k applications
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Perform other duties as assigned

Mental Demands:
- Writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
- Interacting with the public and other staff and occasionally meeting multiple demands from several people
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form
Physical demands/environmental factors:
- Continuous typing
- Reaching with hands and arms and frequently repeating the same hand, arm, or finger motion
- Lifting/moving up to 10 lbs. such as supplies of copier paper
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
