About the role

This role partners closely with the Wellness Marketing team to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization initiatives. As a trusted procurement business partner, this role ensures marketing investments, including media, agencies, digital, and creative services, deliver maximum value, align with category objectives, and comply with procurement policies.

The Director, Global Category Wellness will report into VP, Head of Global Indirects Procurement and will partner with the Global Marketing team as well as the directs team to drive growth, and contribute to end to end innovation along with other Procurement, QSC and R&D colleagues, to support in the identification in opportunities to invest in the Haleon of the future. This role will be contributing to deliver end to end value from savings to innovation with visibility into both direct and indirect spend. This role has regional/global scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Wellness Marketing team to ignite and support brand strategies and campaigns build a best-in-class Innovation pipeline to address unmet business needs to support Haleon’s growth ambition by leveraging external collaborations.

  • Develop a sound understanding of the marketing drivers for the Category and become expert in digital and technology areas in Wellness that will shape the future of the Category.

  • Understanding the Category strategy and connecting this to the Media, Creative and Content procurement pipeline, as well as supporting these categories with any category related marketing activity, brand activations etc.

  • Partner with the Wellness category as a ‘Category First’ model, to align procurement with brand objectives, campaign timelines and budget targets whilst also highlighting market trends, supplier innovation and increase value

  • Collaborate on Innovation projects as a Marketing SME alongside R&D, Marketing, internal & external Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, others with a focus on speed to launch and growth.

  • Support key objectives across strategic pillars of procurement (War on Waste, Growth & Innovation, Keep it Simple, Drive social & environmental impact)

  • innovation priorities through development programs, supply base, and strategic agency partnerships.

  • Support end-to-end cost optimization, complexity reduction and supplier relationship management enabling them to win in the Category.

Qualifications & Skills: 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or Finance.

  • 12+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or supplier relationship management experience, including experience within marketing, brand, or A&P spend categories.

  • Experience across media, creative, content, POSM, market research, or related marketing services categories.

  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or Finance.

  • Experience in consumer healthcare, wellness, CPG, or product development environments.

  • Experience supporting global or regional category strategies across multiple functions, regions, or operating units.

  • Experience producing or negotiating complex commercial contracts in partnership with Legal and business stakeholders.

  • Experience with ingredient sourcing, outsourcing, or innovation/product development procurement.

Location: Hybrid in Warren, NJ; 3 days on-site required.  

The salary range for this role is: $168,266 - $231,366 plus an 18% target bonus.
