About the Safety & Security Department
The Safety & Security Department ensures that ReDiscover provides a safe, welcoming environment for our clients, staff, and guests by maintaining full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Our team plays a key role in developing and implementing safety plans across all ReDiscover locations and special events—and often serves as the first friendly face to greet everyone who walks through our doors.
What You’ll Do
- Greeting and monitoring all persons entering and leaving the facility.
- Monitoring building camera systems as needed.
- Monitoring external walkways, parking lots, lobbies, entryways, internal hallways, restrooms, and other areas as needed.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of safety plans for various locations and special events.
- Servicing all 911 calls, notifying appropriate ReDiscover personnel of emergency status, and communicating with emergency agencies as appropriate.
- To work scheduled shifts or notify the Safety & Security Team Leader at least one business day before any absence.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Safety & Security Team Leader, in collaboration with the Director of Physical Infrastructure.
Requirements of the Position
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant security experience preferred.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Ability to work a regular and consistent schedule of Monday – Friday from 6:30 am – 3:00 pm, as well as Sundays from 7:30 am - 11:00 am.
- Experience with digital control systems and a variety of building automation systems preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and customer service skills
