Title I Teacher

TITLE:                        Title I Teacher
 
QUALIFICATIONS:    Appropriate grade level state certification
 
REPORTS TO:          Director of Literacy in consultation with building principal
 
CONFERS WITH:     Building reading specialist, administrator(s), classroom teachers, and other professional staff
 
JOB GOAL:               To assist students in meeting the Salem School District reading standards
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

1. To provide direct reading instruction to students.

    

2. To administer standardized and informal reading assessments.

    

3. To utilize assessment data to inform instruction.

    

4. To monitor and record student progress and share information with the building reading specialist, classroom teacher, and other professional staff, as appropriate.

    

5. To maintain student records in compliance with Title I guidelines.

    

6. To work collaboratively with classroom teachers, building reading specialist, and other professional staff to design and deliver a cohesive program that supports classroom instruction.

    

7. To work cooperatively with staff to achieve school and Title I program objectives.

    

8. To participate in parent meetings and Student Services Team meetings, as appropriate.

 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:           Dependent upon federal funding

2025-2026 HOURLY SALARY:        $32.64

EVALUATION:                                Performance evaluated annually in accordance with Board and District policies.
