Your Role on Our Team

The Recruiter plays a critical role in driving end-to-end hiring outcomes across Engineering functions. This role partners closely with hiring managers and Talent stakeholders to develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies, ensuring alignment to workforce needs and organizational priorities.

You will be viewed as a trusted advisor to the business, influencing hiring decisions, elevating talent strategies, and delivering a seamless, high-quality candidate experience. Through the use of data, market insights, and innovative sourcing approaches, you will continuously improve recruiting effectiveness, efficiency, and outcomes.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: 

Recruitment Strategy & Delivery

  • Drive full-cycle recruitment for a range of Engineering and technical roles.

  • Partner with hiring managers to scope roles, calibrate talent expectations, and develop targeted recruiting strategies.

  • Source, screen, and advance candidates aligned to both technical requirements and company culture.

  • Lead offer development and negotiations, ensuring alignment to internal equity, market data, and candidate expectations.

  • Proactively pipeline talent, identify any potential risks, and adjust strategies to meet changing hiring demands.

Stakeholder Partnership & Influence

  • Serve as a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers and business leaders.

  • Lead intake/scoping conversations to establish clear expectations, timelines, and success profiles.

  • Facilitate alignment through consensus discussions and structured interview feedback.

  • Partner cross-functionally within Talent (HR, Talent Development, Total Rewards) to support hiring success.

  • Influence hiring decisions through data, market insights, and candidate calibration.

Candidate Experience & Brand

  • Deliver a high-quality, consistent candidate experience from initial outreach through offer acceptance.

  • Set clear expectations and maintain proactive communication with candidates and hiring teams.

  • Represent Milwaukee Tool’s brand through professional, engaging candidate interactions.

  • Ensure a smooth, efficient, and transparent hiring process.

Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics (e.g., pipeline conversion, time-to-fill, source effectiveness).

  • Use data to identify trends, improve workflows, and drive better hiring outcomes.

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance speed, quality, and efficiency.

  • Maintain compliance with all recruiting processes, documentation, and systems.

Functional & Technical Execution

  • Leverage ATS (Workday) and sourcing platforms to manage pipelines and recruiting activity.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant candidate records and recruiting documentation.

  • Independently manage requisition workload with strong organization and prioritization.

What TOOLS you’ll bring with you

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably supporting Engineering, IT, or technical functions.

  • Experience partnering with hiring managers on recruiting strategy and execution.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions with efficiency and strong attention to detail.

  • Strong sourcing skills across active and passive candidate markets.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Experience using recruiting data to drive decisions and improve outcomes.

  • Proficiency with ATS systems (Workday preferred) and sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, etc.).

  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

  • This role is based out of our corporate headquarters in Brookfield, WI. Relocation is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience recruiting in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of employment laws, compliance standards, and recruiting best practices.

  • Experience supporting technical or highly specialized talent pipelines.

  • Proficiency in ATS systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office tools.
