About this Role:
Consertus is seeking an experienced Scheduler III (TDIP Project Scheduler) to support LAWA’s Terminal Development & Improvement Program (TDIP) at LAX. This role will report to the TDIP Program Scheduler and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing detailed project schedules for multiple large, interdependent capital projects (often $100M+), including new construction and renovations across terminal development, asset renewal, and airport service improvements.
This position plays a key role on an owner’s program/project controls team, including forensic schedule analysis and support for claims/change order schedule impacts.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule Development, Review & Compliance
- Review schedule submittals from Design and Contractor teams and confirm compliance with contract requirements.
- Perform independent schedule analysis for the Owner across:
- Preliminary schedules
- Baseline schedules
- Four-week look-ahead schedules
- Monthly schedule updates and recovery schedules
- Time impact analysis (TIA) / time extension requests (as applicable)
- As-built schedules
- Ensure schedules follow LAWA project code and activity code structure.
Interface & Program Coordination
- Facilitate coordination of interface issues between multiple projects.
- Identify and communicate schedule risks, interdependencies, and impacts across concurrent projects.
Forensic Schedule Analysis / Claims Support
- Provide objective assessments of schedule delays using Time Impact Analysis and other accepted methods.
- Support change order and claims dispute resolution by:
- Reviewing delay claims and schedule narratives
- Evaluating disruption/acceleration/recovery strategies
- Recommending apportionment of delay/acceleration in accordance with industry practices (including AACEI RP 29 where applicable)
- Participate in discussions with contractors and stakeholders to understand the basis of delay claims and support negotiation/settlements.
Reporting & Communication
- Develop reports and briefing materials that clearly communicate complex sequencing and forensic findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and implement scheduling-related KPIs.
Required Software / Tools
- Oracle Primavera P6 (Version 6.0 or higher) – mastery required
- Working knowledge of schedule/claims support tools such as:
- Schedule Analyzer
- Microsoft Project
- Claims Digger (or similar)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
Minimum Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years of scheduling experience, including 5+ years supporting active construction programs with reporting (milestones, interdependencies, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience scheduling multiple concurrent and interrelated projects
- Direct forensic scheduling experience supporting claims analysis on large-scale complex projects ($200M+ and 3+ year duration)
- Experience with multiple delivery methods, including:
- Design-Bid-Build
- Design + CMAR
- Design-Build
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (ability to explain schedule impacts to non-expert audiences)
- Ability to collaborate with PMs/CMs/claims staff and other control disciplines in an owner-representative environment
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field (required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in aviation and/or large transportation programs
- Relevant professional licensure/certifications
Working Hours & Location: Full-time, exempt role with business hours 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. In addition, this is an onsite position, and Monday – Friday in Los Angeles, CA.
Compensation Range: $156,000 - $162,240 annually; Eligible for Bonus
