We're a team of independent thinkers who put quality, inclusion and integrity first. All around the world we bring a different experience to our clients. A better experience. NEW GROUND WON’T BREAK ITSELF.

Every day our teams help people in businesses and communities to do what is right and achieve their goals.

The Information Systems department is responsible for delivering and supporting the IT services that the firm relies on every day. Within it, the Service Management team plays a critical role in ensuring those services are delivered to a consistently high standard. We do this by operating and continuously improving our Service Management System, maintaining our ISO 20000 certification, and contributing to the upkeep of our ISO 27001 certification.

We’re happy to talk flexible working and consider reduced hours and job shares, we’ll support you to balance your work and life.

The Governance Analyst role sits within the Service Management team and works closely with colleagues across Information Systems and the wider firm. It is the single point of ownership for the governance that keeps our Service Management System honest and audit-ready: risk, service continuity, improvement, and our response to both internal and external audits. The role also looks after the two repositories the firm relies on to find help and technical information about our services. It is a varied role that blends hands-on governance work with a continuous-improvement mindset, suiting someone who takes satisfaction in order, evidence, and well-run processes.

As a Governance Analyst within our Information Systems department, you will:

  • Own and run the firm’s risk management cycle for the Service Management System and Information Security Management System, maintaining the risk register and leading regular risk reviews.

  • Plan and run service continuity testing, making sure the team knows how it would respond if a key service were lost and that lessons are captured and acted on.

  • Drive improvement actions from raised to closed, keeping the improvement register current and chasing actions through to completion.

  • Lead internal audit activity for the Service Management System, including scheduling, and following up on findings.

  • Help organise the team’s response to external audits, including the ISO 20000 surveillance cycle.

  • Act as custodian of our two information repositories, Systems Solutions (customer self-help) and Service Information (technical documentation about services), owning their structure, quality standards, and review cycle while the content itself is authored by the teams who hold the knowledge.

  • Work with AI tooling, including Claude, to take the manual effort out of governance work, for example drafting first-cut risk updates and flagging stale or missing repository content for review.

  • Communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels, from technical specialists to senior stakeholders, and help embed a culture of evidence, improvement, and good governance across the team.

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as a Governance Analyst, the minimum criteria you’ll need is strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to set out evidence and findings clearly, a methodical and well-organised approach with close attention to detail, the ability to drive activities and actions through to completion across people who don’t report to you, and a willingness to use AI tooling such as Claude to work more efficiently. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Experience in a governance, risk, audit, compliance, or quality role, ideally within IT or a regulated environment

  • Working knowledge of management system standards such as ISO 20000 or ISO 27001, and of ITIL practices

  • Experience preparing for or responding to internal or external audits, including assembling evidence

  • Experience maintaining documentation, knowledge bases, or similar repositories, and a comfort with using AI tools to support day-to-day work

The impact you can make here will go far beyond your day job.
